Our Beliefs

Emmanuel Baptist Church Exists to...

to bring glory and honour to Almighty God by regular worship of His people; by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the salvation of the lost; by the teaching and training of believers and the development of Christian character and conduct; by promoting the enterprise of missions worldwide; and by earnestly and compassionately defending the Christian faith while separating itself from all that dishonours Christ.

We Believe...

  • The verbal, plenary inspiration of the 66 books of the Bible which stand as our sole authority for faith and practice;
  • There is only one living and true God who is worthy of all honour, worship, and love. God
    exists co-equally and co-eternally in three persons– God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit;
  • That God created the world by His divinely empowered word out of nothing. Humanity being made in His image with the purpose of glorifying Him.
  • That humanity by voluntary transgression rebelled against God and received the punishment of death as a result. All people are sinners and under the just condemnation of God’s wrath.
  • That Jesus Christ is the eternal and only begotten Son of God, who incarnated and was born of the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect, sinless life being both fully God and fully man. He shed His blood on a cross and died as payment for sin and then arose bodily and ascended to sit at the right hand of the Father.
  • Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. In which salvation, the believing, are eternally kept;
  • The local church is God’s instrument for service and growth for believers and is under the headship of Jesus Christ.
  • The pre-tribulation, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air for His saints.
  • The pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ to the earth with His saints to establish His kingdom.
  • The necessity of maintaining personal separation from the world, and ecclesiastical separation from error.

The Gospel

We are all sinners and the punishment is death. But there is good news, Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a perfect life and died to pay the punishment for our sins. Three days later He rose triumphant from the dead and offers forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe in Him!
